Whether it’s a weekend getaway, business trip or a week's vacation, I’m always looking for things that make traveling easier, more organized and, of course, more comfortable.
And speaking of comfortable… we need to settle something.....
Do You Dress Up to Travel or Are You Team Comfort?
I see those perfectly put-together airport outfits and think they look amazing. But me? I’m traveling comfortably. Give me soft layers, comfortable shoes, an easy bag and an outfit I can actually sit in for hours.
So consider that your warning before you keep reading: my travel recommendations definitely lean toward comfort. Cute? Yes. Practical? Absolutely. But if it isn’t comfortable, it’s probably not making it in my suitcase, and I am definitely not wearing it to the airport.
What about you? Are you dressing up for travel or choosing comfort every time?
Leave me a message in the comments...I want to know!
What I'm Wearing
Comfort is always my starting point for a travel outfit. I look for easy layers, comfortable fabrics and pieces that can take me from the airport or car straight into whatever we have planned. I’m sharing three travel outfits that are comfortable, stylish and ready to transition to whatever you have planned once you arrive at your destination.
Pink Is My Jam
This starts my basic travel look: a comfortable matching set, easy sneakers and simple layers. I want to be comfortable when I travel, but I still want to feel pulled together.
Cream Is a Classic
Cream is classic, easy to layer and easy to style. Add a denim jacket or cardigan when it gets chilly, and you have a comfortable travel look that works almost anywhere.
Packing & Suitcase Organization
I love anything that makes packing easier and keeps my suitcase organized once I arrive. These are the kinds of travel finds that help me fit more, find what I need quickly and avoid digging through my entire suitcase every time I’m looking for something.
If you have no space constraints, lucky you! I’m always trying to take more than I need because... choices! I need choices. So, my packing tips are all about how I can fit more into limited space while still keeping everything organized.
I need all the space I can get!
Packing cubes help me organize everything, but compression cubes are my favorite because they help me fit more into the same suitcase. I also love having different sizes so I can separate outfits, pajamas and smaller items without digging through everything once I arrive.
Hanging Toiletry Bag
I love a toiletry bag that I can unpack once and hang up when I arrive. Everything stays organized, easy to see and off the bathroom counter. The hook is a must for me, especially when counter space is limited.
Carry-On & Personal Item Favorites
If you’re flying, having the right bags is essential, and that includes not only staying organized, but what you’re organizing everything in. I’m sharing the three that I take with me every time I fly. You’ll also find these in my shoppable videos on Amazon if you want to see them in action.
My Travel Backpack
I researched backpacks extensively before a trip I took about nine months ago, and this was the winner. I LOVE IT! It holds A LOT, but it’s still stylish and has plenty of compartments to make staying organized easier. I loved it so much for travel that I now use it for work too.
Electronic Organizer
Sadly, this is one of those things that has become a necessity in today’s world. I’ve sat next to so many people in airports digging through their bags trying to find the right cord. Keeping all of my chargers and cords together in one place just makes sense.

Travel Day Essentials
Once my suitcase is packed, I like to keep the things I’ll actually need while traveling easy to reach. There’s nothing worse than digging through a carry-on looking for a charger or realizing your phone is almost dead when you need your boarding pass. These are a few simple travel-day essentials I like to keep close by so everything I need is organized and within reach.
Portable Phone Charger
I bought this for the same trip and now take it everywhere with me. We have ample electronics in my family, and this has been a winner. Mine is pink too ;) And yes, I still need the organizer above. I know what you were thinking.
Water Bottle
This one is self-explanatory. However, be sure to pick one that is spill-proof. Sounds silly, but many a laptop and bag of clothes have been ruined by a leaking water bottle. Ask me how I know. 😉
Ready to Pack?
Traveling is always going to come with a little bit of chaos, but having the right things with me definitely makes it easier. These are the travel favorites I actually use to stay comfortable, organized and a little more prepared along the way.
Whether you’re packing for a weekend away or a much-needed vacation, I hope you found something here that makes your next trip a little easier too.
